HYPERCRONIUS Unleashed! Release Day is Here!

Wooooo boy…

Now, full-disclosure, and I know this may shock some people, but I’ve never given birth to a baby. No really, it’s true (has something to do with my gender, apparently)! But when the old adage gets used, “This is my baby”, well, that’s about all I can say about HYPERCRONIUS: This is my baby.

As far as creative pursuits go, making this game is hands down the hardest thing I’ve ever done. It’s a labor of love. It’s something I’ve wanted to do since I was a kid. The opportunity to make my own games and share them with the world is a dream come true for me.

But before I get into more about that, I want to say that this dream didn’t come true in a vacuum. It took in large part the support, love, feedback, assistance, taste, knowledge, listening skills, acting skills, and savvy of one lovely and hyper-intelligent Dr. Stephanie Murphy! Without her, none of this would have been possible (or worked half as well). She is quite simply–and I mean this and have said it often–the finest person on the planet. And more thanks than I could ever verbalize go out to her.

Second, the support and feedback from Sovryn Tech listeners has been incredible. If HYPERCRONIUS has any chance at success, it will be in many ways thanks to you, Sovryn Tech listeners. You’re amazing.

Creating this game has been a process of extreme learning about how to make a game, how to use all kinds of software I didn’t even know existed, as well as learning video production…so many things, but it also taught me a lot about myself. I know that sounds cliche, but it’s very true, and I’ll be sure to talk about it more in the future. The schedule I was imposing on myself for this game was–another full-disclosure–grueling, to say the least. I have a much greater respect for software/game designers now than I ever had. The statement is true, “If it were easy, everyone would do it”. And so what am I going to do with this experience of creating HYPERCRONIUS? Simple, it’s time to make another game. A massive sequel to HYPERCRONIUS is already in the works, and it is going to be a much longer, more traditional RPG game (HYPERCRONIUS is a shorter, unique, more direct RPG experience). And of course in between that production will be games that maybe won’t be RPGs at all, and may be side-stories, as well as completely independent productions, too. So keep your eyes peeled on various social media and this blog in particular to stay abreast of the latest.

So with all of that said, please don’t hesitate to grab a copy of the game. You can purchase it with Bitcoin, PayPal, or Credit/Debit card (through the PayPal gateway), and eventually I plan on it being available through other distribution platforms, as well. But for now, if you’ve been chomping at the bit to try out my very first game (EVER), and the first game from Zomia Offline Games, here’s your chance. Feel free to contact me through the Contact Us tab at the top of the page if you have any comments, questions, or criticisms…I’m open to it all. Enjoy HYPERCRONIUS, everyone!

Be excellent to each other, and carpe lucem!
